Second Mile Righteousness
Poor in spirit: The first mile is marked by "I can do this". The second mile is marked by "God you have to do this because I can't."
Mourning: The first mile is defined as: getting caught hurts, so I have to be good at hiding things. he second mile is defined as: My sin hurts and I want to change it.
Meekness: The first mile is marked by me forcing my doctrine, will, ideas on others. The second mile is marked by 'Not my will, but Your will be done.'
Hunger and thirst for righteousness: The first mile is marked by a cycle of confession and rebellion. The second mile is marked by a broken life that gives God access to change everything.
Merciful: The first mile is marked by how he loves me. The second mile is marked by my life showing God's love to others
Pure in heart: The first mile is marked by believing what is seen. The second mile is marked by believing what isn't seen.
Peacemakers: The first mile is marked by: my righteousness is my business. The second mile is marked by: I want to live out my righteousness loud for the rest of the world.
Persecuted: The first mile is focused on the now. The second mile is focused on eternity.

Great start to the Second Mile series today! See you next week!
Come join us at 9:30 or 11:30 tomorrow here at The Genesis Project as we begin a new 5 week series called "Living In The Second Mile".
For the last 7 years The Genesis Project has relentlessly pursued all that God has called us to in Ogden, it has been equally beautiful, challenging, fulfilling and messy! Today we can look back in wide eyed amazement at how far God has brought us. Who would have thought the first mile of this journey could be so full? What once was a room full of people has become an incredibly crucial part of the Body of Christ in our generation. What once left us wondering if we could survive is now thriving and ALIVE... today more than ever!
GP, this first mile has been incredible! But, let us make no mistake...God is calling us to something bigger and better in the wide open spaces in front of us!
Are you ready for the SECOND MILE???
